Records and Reports

Due to matters of confidentiality, matters that are private or sensitive in nature may not be available to all parties.  However, victims of a crime or those involved in a collision (including vehicle insurer) may follow these procedures for obtaining copies of a report.

Copies of reports are $5

Incident and Offense Reports

Please provide the following information:

• The case number (if provided by the police officer)
• Name of the complainant
• Information about type of offense (such as what was stolen, where it was stolen from)
• Date / Time and location of offense
• Complainant’s name and address

​Collision Reports

Please provide the following:

• The Case Number
• Name of Driver / Owner
• Location of Collision
• Date / Time of Collision

Civilian Collision Reports

Background Checks

Local Records Check (Arrest/Criminal Histories)

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office no longer provides local records checks. Please contact the Administrative Office of the Courts at www.courts.ky.gov or 1-800-928-6381 for help with your request or click the link below.

AOC Background Checks

Open Records Request 

Residents wishing to inspect a public record may submit an open records request to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office by completing a Open Records Request Form.  After completing your open records request form please deliver, fax or mail it to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.
